The Department of Public Safety has received a few reports related to motor vehicle break-ins in the area in recent days. As a reminder, to discourage vehicle break-ins and theft:
— Do not leave valuables such as computers, cell phones, or backpacks in your vehicle.
— Do not leave cash, coins, credit cards, auto registration or other important papers in plain view or in the glove compartment.
— Whenever possible, bring valuables with you once you have parked your car. If you can’t bring them with you, lock all valuables in the trunk and out of sight.
— Always roll up windows, close the sunroof, and lock your doors before leaving your vehicle.
