This Is Not Goodbye, It Is See You Later

submitted by singhj@augsburg.edu

Friends,

Today is my last day at Augsburg University serving as your Web person.

I really appreciate the time I have spent here. As an undergraduate and graduate student of Augsburg it was an honor to come back and work with a school that showed me a unique and beautiful higher education experience.

While I am taking a new role, one that I am not giving up is being part of this community of amazing people.

Working for Augsburg truly has been a dream come true. When I took this role, I was very vocal about my admiration & yearning for working at Augsburg.

I appreciate everyone that I have served and if I had the opportunity to work with you directly, I absolutely loved it.

I have made a lot of friends working with you all and will hold this space graciously in my heart, mind and soul.

Please if there is anything I can do to help, do not hesitate to reach out. As my grandma always said, “don’t be bashful”.

With love & peace,

Jasvir

I-94 Pedestrian Bridge Project: Public Meeting and Online Survey

submitted by peacock@augsburg.edu

In 2019 a truck hit the pedestrian bridge over I-94 near the Augsburg campus, damaging it beyond repair. A temporary bridge was installed at that time. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT) is now in the process of planning and designing a permanent bridge. MNDOT is hosting a public meeting about the pedestrian bridge today (June 27) from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Brian Coyle Center (420 15th Ave. S.). Stop by to learn about the project and to provide input about the features you’d like to see incorporated in the design for the new bridge. You can also share feedback about the bridge project by completing MNDOT’s online survey, found on the project home page (see link below).

Shout Out to Our Volunteers – There’s Still a Chance to Support Kids at Speech & Debate Camp

submitted by froehlic@augsburg.edu

Thanks for showing up for our first 2 weeks of MNUDL Summer Speech & Debate Camp!

In Week 2 of camp, our middle school debaters tackled the pros and cons of Mars Colonization. Special thanks to our specialized space judges from the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium, Minnesota Astronomical Society, and Augsburg University’s physics department!

Our campers are honing their speech and debate skills on various topics and need an audience to test their arguments.

Join us on July 12th for our final camp day—9 volunteer shifts are available!

Interested? Enjoy engaging discussions on current events and help our students grow. No experience is needed to judge Middle School Congress or Speech Camp! ‘
