With only about 60 days remaining before we officially are Augsburg University, now is the time for individual departments to start digging into the work needed at the departmental level to ensure our campus is transformed by September 1.
Early in July, faculty department chairs and administrative department leaders will receive an email from Jodi Collen, Senior Director of University Events, that includes your “Department Name Change Checklist.” The checklist will provide a list of all the items your department will need to update.
To help you get started, check out the latest blog posting on the University Name Change section of our website for detailed information on your Department Name Change Checklist and more information on each of the important steps listed below:
–Block Time on Your Calendar
–Review Your Department Name Change Checklist
–Attend a Name Change Help Session
–Download the Task Tracker
There’s no doubt that the Name Change Project is exciting, even though it is exceptionally complex. We truly are at the point where we now require the participation from all members of our community to ensure we reach our shared goal of being recognized as Augsburg University beginning September 1.
There are some fun events planned for our first day of classes, September 5, that will make this push and pull worth celebrating! Please stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, thank you for your understanding and for picking up the tasks for which your department is responsible. We have much to celebrate!

We are proud to announce Dustin Parks (2017, Economics and Finance) as one of our newest Fulbright Scholars. Dustin will conduct research on entrepreneurial education in Peru.

I am selling an Amati’s Fine Instruments, full size, artisan model cello.
It is held in a red, light weight, molded case that can be locked. The case has wheels, backpack straps, and zips close.
The cello also comes with 2 bows, lightly used rosin, and a rubber rock stop.
The cello has four years of use and is in excellent condition.
