Fulbright program participants pursue graduate or professional study, advanced research or English teaching in elementary and secondary schools or universities abroad. Each year, approximately 1,900 Americans traveling to more than 140 countries receive support from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

Please join us for the URGO Summer Research Presentations on July 24th and 25th from 12:30 – 4 p.m. in Kennedy 303 and 305. Students have been conducting research on campus for the past 11 weeks under the mentorship of a faculty member in their field. The program includes students from a wide range of disciplines and highlights diverse research methods and topics. This event is open to the public, and we encourage staff and faculty to come support these student researchers!

The MFA in Creative Writing 2017 Summer Residency is being held from Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, July 30. Please join us in welcoming our group of very talented students and acclaimed writers to campus for this festival of craft talks, workshops, evening readings and more. This summer’s visiting writers include Jean Harper, winner of the Howling Bird Press Creative Nonfiction Book Award; fiction writer Kate Bernheimer; poet Patricia Smith; and screenwriters and Remy Auberjonois and Kate Nowlin. In addition, ten graduating MFA students will be giving public readings of their works – Judy Johnson, Andrea Sanow, Faith Ericson, Mark Hooker, Jacquelyn Dutdut, Josh Johnson, Patricia Fox, Laurie Anderson, Taryn Verley, and Mai Thao Xiong.
We invite you to join us for the evening readings/screenings and receptions, at which our visiting writers will be available to sign their works. All events are free and the public is invited.

Congratulations to Senior Event Planner, Sarah Cash Darvell, on passing her certification exam to become a Certified Special Events Professional® (CSEP). Becoming a CSEP is contingent upon a candidate fulfilling the practical experience requirement and successfully passing a rigorous multiple choice and written examination.
The CSEP designation, which is administered and awarded by the International Live Events Association (ILEA), is a reputable measurement of critical events industry knowledge. It is the only certification within the meetings/incentives/conventions/expositions (MICE) industry that signifies competency in all facets of the live events industry. As a recipient of the CSEP credential, Sarah has earned a unique distinction as a knowledgeable and experienced events professional and joins an elite global community of highly motivated events professionals who are committed to the enhancement of individual and professional performance.

My name is April Johnson and I am a rising senior here at Augsburg.
I am selling an Amati’s Fine Instruments, full size, artisan model cello.
It is held in a red, light weight, molded case that can be locked. The case has wheels, backpack straps, and zips close.
The cello also comes with 2 bows, lightly used rosin, and a rubber rock stop.
The cello has four years of use and is in excellent condition.
