Dean of Arts & Sciences candidates on campus

submitted by

Finalists for the Dean of Arts & Sciences position will be on campus over the next two weeks, and I invite you to take advantage of the opportunities to meet each of these candidates. Curriculum vitae will be shared one day prior to each visit–links will be provided in A-mail. Those who meet the candidates are strongly encouraged to provide feedback on perceived strengths and weaknesses, using the feedback form linked to the A-mail announcement. These feedback forms will be available until noon of the day following the interview visit.

Our first candidate, Dr. Pedro Maligo, will be on campus tomorrow, Tuesday, March 20. All are welcome at his public presentation at 2:00 pm in OGC 100. Please feel free to view Dr. Maligo’s CV, prior to his visit. The feedback form for Dr. Maligo will be available until noon on Wednesday, March 21.

Prior to forwarding its final recommendation(s) to me, the search committee will review the feedback you share via the online forms.

I want to extend my gratitude and acknowledge the excellent work of the search committee in reviewing more than 80 applications and identifying the three finalists:

David Matz, Professor of Psychology and search committee chair
Alan Tuchtenhagen, MAL Program Director
Ben Stottrup, Associate Professor of Physics
