100% Post Consumer Recycled Paper in use

submitted by quezada2@augsburg.edu

The Environmental Action Committee has approved and agreed to fund certified 100% post- consumer Recycled Paper for 3 years. This development contributes to the commitment to sustainability at Augsburg University, and furthers us towards our goal of Carbon Neutrality by 2030. Even more sustainable, however, is reducing paper use. Be sure to print double sided when possible, and always think before printing more than one copy. Consider whether or not there is an electronic alternative.

Student Government has approved the most ambitious commitment to sustainability by Augsburg yet! Included in this resolution are commitments to having 50% of our energy coming from on-campus solar by 2025, Electric Vehicle Charging Stations by 2023, LEED certifications for all new buildings and renovations, 50% reduction in transportation emissions, the creation of a comprehensive climate action plan that holds students, staff, faculty, and administration accountable for fulfilling this commitment, and more. Check it out via the ESC webpage within the Augsburg Website!

The Forum Podcast Ep. 26 – Engaging Men and Leaders in Gender Balance

submitted by gocmen@augsburg.edu

How do we engage men and leaders in gender balancing businesses when the topic of gender balance is often framed as being created for women by women, leading to failed engagement by men and accountability by men, or even worse, creating divisive segmentation within men of a, “you’re either with us or against us” mentality?
Join Avivah Wittenberg-Cox (20-first), as we explore this question and others on The Forum Podcast.
