Walk-ups Welcome for Free Single Dose Vaccine at State Fairgrounds

You can walk up or make an appointment for the single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine at the State Fairgrounds through June 8. The site is open noon to 8 p.m. daily. No insurance or ID is needed. If you sign up, a free Metro Transit pass for the day of your appointment is provided in your confirmation text message and email.

TODAY is the First CRES Finalist’s Scholarship Presentation

Augsburg faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend the Scholarship presentations of the three finalists for the Critical Race and Ethnicity Studies (CRES) Asian American Studies faculty position.

The first of the three candidates will be presenting on TODAY (June 7) from 1:15 pm – 2 pm.

Tentative dates/times for the other two candidates’ scholarship presentations:

– Monday, June 14 from 1:45 pm – 2:30 pm
– Wednesday, June 16 from 3:45 pm – 4:30 pm

If you are interested in attending the Scholarship presentation on Monday (and/or the planned presentations on the 14th and 16th), please email Kerri Maher (maherk@augsburg.edu). You will then receive the calendar invitation(s) with the Zoom link.

Year-End Expense Deadline June 14, 2021

Please submit invoices, expense reports, payment authorization forms, etc. for goods or services received on or before May 31, 2021 by Monday, June 14, 2021. All expenses need to have proper coding and approvals. Please email invoices to accountspayableaugsburg.edu or drop them off at the Business Office, Science Building Suite 148. If you are coming into your office please check for invoices that may have been delivered to your office and forward them to the Business Office.

If you have not received an invoice from a vendor for goods or services received or delivered by May 31, please contact Carole Kampf (kampf@augsburg.edu X1260) by Monday, June 14, 2021.

P-Card Purchase and Reimbursement Expenses

Please submit P-Card statements and receipts for expenses incurred through May 31, 2021 by Monday, June 14, 2021. Email your statement and receipts to purchasecard@augsburg.edu.

Checks and Cash

If you have checks and cash that need to be deposited for Fiscal year 2021, please bring to the Business Office, Science Building Suite 148 by Thursday May 27, 2021. Our office is open Wednesday and Thursdays 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Increased Security Around Off-Campus File Access

As part of Information Technology’s ongoing effort to protect the security of your files, an additional security measure will be placed into effect on June 7th. Apple computer users accessing network drives from off-campus using the AFP or SMB file protocols will require the added security of our OpenVPN and Duo software.

A Multifaith Conversation on Racial Justice and Human Dignity

Minnesota Multifaith Network (MnMN) is offering an interfaith convening called, “Discerning our Moral Commitments Together: A Multifaith Conversation on Racial Justice and Human Dignity” on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 11:00am to 1:00pm CDT. Held online, all faith leaders, interfaith organization leadership and volunteers, people of all faith backgrounds, those of no faith commitments, and everyone committed to the flourishing of all communities in Minnesota are invited to participate in a deep conversation about our shared moral commitments as we grapple with all the ways the pandemic and oppression is causing harm. Speakers and small group circles will help build connections for justice and contribute to deepening a growing multifaith network in Minnesota. Tickets are $10 each with a 50% discount for MnMN members.
