Help Advance Research on Neurodegenerative Disorders

What is the goal of the study?
The purpose of this study is to find out whether insulin, a drug approved by the FDA for
the treatment of diabetes mellitus, reaches the brain and spinal cord when delivered as a
nasal spray (intranasally).

What happens in the study?
· There will be 3 in-person visits (lasting 2-4 hours) and one phone call
· At Visit 2, you will receive one dose of intranasal insulin and undergo a lumbar
puncture (spinal tap).

You may be eligible if:
You are between the ages of 18 and 35
You are willing/able to have a lumbar puncture

What is the cost?
All study related procedures will be paid for with research funds. Participants will be paid for completing study visits.
