Get in the Halloween Spirit – Dress Up and Judge at a Halloween Debate Tournament on October 26

submitted by froehlic@augsburg.edu

Judge at the Halloween-themed Rosebowl Tournament

The Minnesota Urban Debate League, a program of Augsburg University, is looking for caring volunteers who can help local high school students improve their argumentation skills as they debate about the implications of AI.

No experience is required! We’ll train you how to run the round, pick the winner fairly, and provide useful feedback for improvement.

Our upcoming tournament, the Roseville Rosebowl, is Halloween-themed. We hope you’ll join us on Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. It will be a fun and festive time to dress up, help kids improve their skills, and get into the Halloween spirit.

Plus, thanks to funding from the AmeriCorps Volunteer Generation Fund, we can provide transportation if needed!

Plus, we have many other tournaments coming up! You can judge virtually on upcoming Fridays or in-person in the Twin Cities Metro on upcoming Saturdays.
