Campus Ministry is excited to announce this year’s pastoral intern, Sarah Root. Sarah (she/her) grew up in West Milwaukee, WI and attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, majoring in psychology. She is studying for her Masters in Divinity at Luther Seminary to fulfill the call that she has held throughout her formative years. Sarah grew up going to church and was always very involved. She attended two youth gatherings, once as a student and a second as a servant companion. As a high school student, Sarah served on her synod’s council for two years.
Sarah lives in St. Paul with her husband, Kyle, their nearly 1-year-old son, two cats, a bearded dragon, fish, and a very fat frog. Sarah has spent her four years of academics at Luther Seminary working on homework, making memories, and baking a lot of pizza at Toppers. Her Campus Ministry internship is the final step in this part of her academic journey.
Stop in to Campus Ministry Office 110, in the Foss Center, to welcome Sarah. As someone who is very focused on self-care, Sarah provides a listening ear, mindful activities, calming objects, games, and snacks. Her door and her ears are always open.
