David Lapakko, Associate Prof. of Communication Studies, will once again be recognized at this year’s Great American Think-Off, a philosophy competition held annually in New York Mills, MN. He will be presented with an Honorable Mention award for his essay submission at this year’s Think-Off debate on Saturday night. In the past, Lapakko has been a Think-Off debate finalist in 2013, 2015, and 2019, with Honorable Mention essay awards in 2016, 2018, and 2022. This year’s question is, “Which should be more important: personal choice or social responsibility?”, with Lapakko arguing on behalf of social responsibility.
