Magaly Ortiz ’14 joins the TRIO/SSS team as Academic Advisor starting Monday, June 27. Magaly brings a wealth of experience teaching and mentoring at the University of Minnesota in Spanish language, communication and literature. She has also worked recently with the Augsburg TRIO/ McNair program, with ETS testing services, and extensive volunteer hours al while while pursuing her doctorate in Hispanic and Lusophone Literatures and Cultures. Magaly is excited to return to Augsburg to advise TRIO/SSS students on their college experience.
Ethan Johnson started June 13 in a temporary position as Speech and Academic Skills coach with the TRIO/SSS Summer Bridge program. An Assistant Professor of Communications at Iowa Lakes Community College, Ethan is spending the summer at Augsburg to work with the COM 111 – Summer Bridge class taught by Bob Groven.
