“Liberal Arts, Migration and Social Change” offers Auggies the opportunity to Study Spanish and learn about migration and transnationality from Mexicans who are organizing for positive social change in their communities. You will learn from local organizations, community members, and others who call Mexico home.
This program is perfect for students who enjoy experiential, hands-on learning. You can use all your financial aid and you’ll receive an automatic $1,500 Travel Grant. There is no language or major requirement, everyone is welcome!
Highlights include:
*Complete several graduation requirements (LAF’s) in: Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Modern Language, Search for Meaning II, Natural Science (w/Lab), Recreational Wellness, and your Augsburg Experience
*Included excursions around Mexico all included in the program fees!
*[Optional] internships for hands-on work experience in a local organization (Spanish language required for an internship placement)
*Spend your fall semester away from the chill of October, November, and early December in “the City of Eternal Springtime” in Mexico! Program dates for fall are August 25 to December 10, 2023.
