Seven Augsburg Faculty Receive 2023-2024 Scholarship Grants

Seven Augsburg faculty have been awarded a total of $15,000 in Scholarship Grants to support their professional work during 2023-2024. Each Spring, the Faculty Development Committee reviews faculty requests for the available scholarship funds provided by Augsburg University and selects projects which provide the maximum benefit to faculty, students, the university, and the faculty member’s discipline. Congratulations to all 2023-2024 recipients!

Ankita Deka: “Substance use and addictions among Muslim-American youth: Exploring the lived experiences of survivors, community members, and family members”; $1,725.00

Dahn Gim: “(M)other Nature”; $1,500.00

Raven Johnson: “Short Film Project”; $3,000.00

Jenna McNallie: “Grandparent-Grandchild Relationships: Exploring the Dyadic Nature of intergenerational Relationships”; $2,000.00

Kao Nou L. Moua and Alex Fink: “Redesigning theoretical education in social work through anti-racist design thinking”; $2,000.00

Erin Sugrue: “Mandated Reporting and School Social Workers”; $2,810.00
