Community Paint Day at The Cedar This Saturday – Register Now

submitted by gilmerje@augsburg.edu

The Cedar Cultural Center is hosting a free, family-friendly community event happening in Cedar-Riverside this Saturday. In celebration of our 35th anniversary as a nonprofit music venue on the West Bank of Minneapolis, The Cedar commissioned two brilliant artists – Leslie Barlow and Hibaaq Ibrahim – to design and install a mural on an exterior wall.

This Saturday, June 8, The Cedar and West Bank Business Association will host a Community Paint Day. Leslie and Hibaaq will take off their artist hats and put on their teaching hats, inviting community members to participate in the creation of the mural. With music provided by Douala Sol Collective as well as snacks and beverages, it’s sure to be a great kickoff to summer.
