Our steam provider, Cordia, shut down Augsburg’s steam system for much of campus starting Friday evening, June 28, and lasting approximately through Tuesday, June 2.
This work is necessary to connect a new steam pipe, which will eliminate the condensate leak along Riverside Avenue. The shutdown will also provide an opportunity for water heater repairs and steam valve replacements on campus. During this time, hot water will not be available across much of campus. Dehumidification may also be affected in some buildings.
The Hagfors Center, Luther Hall, Anderson Residence Hall, and Oren Gateway Center will not be affected.

In Week 2 of camp, our middle school debaters tackled the pros and cons of Mars Colonization.
Special thanks to our specialized space judges from the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium, Minnesota Astronomical Society, and Augsburg University’s physics department!
Our campers are honing their speech and debate skills on various topics and need an audience to test their arguments.
Join us on July 12th for our final camp day—9 volunteer shifts are available!
Interested? Enjoy engaging discussions on current events and help our students grow. No experience needed to judge Middle School Congress or Speech Camp!

Hello, my name is Clark Furlong, and I am doing some original research through Augsburg University about current student’s perception of cannabis as an opiate alternative. If you could take this 7-question survey it would aid in better understanding the current state of public cannabis perception. To participate you need to be an adult (18+) living in the United States. The survey should take approximately 1-5 minutes. You would also enter for a chance to win a 20$ Amazon gift card (you will need to leave your email, but this information will be kept confidential). This class-based project has been designated IRB-Exempt from Augsburg University IRB, #2023-06-04. Click or copy this link to complete the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G2GHSP7.
