Members of the Environmental Stewardship Committee and Campus Cupboard are coming together to create a Campus Share Shop for the students of Augsburg! Our purpose is to create a space where students can check out goods they need, rather than purchasing new items. By doing this, we hope to:
-Reduce the consumption of material goods
-Reduce students’ costs
-Create a community space where students can take part in informal learning around sustainable practices and skill-sharing.
This is a project created by students for students, so we are reaching out to you to find out what you would want to see in the share shop. Please take a few minutes to take a short survey that will aid in creating a share shop that will properly serve the students of Augsburg.

In partnership with Norway House, we are excited to share that Bjørn Magnus Jacobsen Ihler—a Norwegian activist, writer, designer, and filmmaker working across mediums to promote peace and human rights in defiance of violent extremism—will be speaking at Norway House on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm on the topic of Finding Peace: A dialogue on community peace-building.
Ihler is a survivor of the Utøya mass shooting on 22 July 2011. Since that horrifying experience, he has used his voice to promote peace and justice all over the world. He currently serves as a Young Leader on the Extremely Together Project at the Kofi Annan Foundation.
In addition, he is a listed speaker for the Human Rights Foundation (who is our international partner for the Human Rights Forum) and spoke at their Oslo Freedom Forum in 2016.
Please visit Norway House’s event page to RSVP to the free session.
This event is brought to us by Heartland Democracy.
