Social Gatherings Drive COVID-19 Cases to Record Levels in Minnesota

Recent Minnesota Department of Health data show record-high levels of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota, and a primary cause, according to the the State Health Commissioner, is social gatherings — not big events and large crowds, but small groups of people getting together without masks and physical distancing.

To protect yourself while community transmission is high, wear a mask, watch your distance, wash your hands frequently, and avoid group gatherings. As you make plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving break, review the safety guidelines provided by the Minnesota Department of Health — you can find the link in this week’s COVID-19 Status Blog (see link, below).

Augsburg Student Music Therapy Association Meeting

ASMTA is hosting an informational meeting for music therapy students. It will consist of an overview of planned events and a Q and A session. ASMTA is also looking for feedback from students for desired resources and activities. This will be over Zoom on November 10th from 7-8pm. Email frederil@augsburg.edu to receive the Zoom link. Benefits Open Enrollment is NOW through November 13. The 2021 Benefits Resource Guide provides additional details about your 2021 benefit plan options and rates.

All benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to attend an open enrollment information session. Due to COVID-19, sessions will be virtual this year. Use the Zoom links below to register for one of the remaining live sessions:

To enroll or make changes to your benefit elections, visit:
Inside Augsburg > Administrative Tasks > Open Enrollment.

For your convenience, your current 2020 benefit elections will be pre-populated in the open enrollment portal. Even if you are not making changes, we ask that you submit the enrollment form to confirm your selections will remain the same for 2021. Please note, 2020 pre-tax HSA and FSA elections will end in December, so you must elect an amount for 2021 to continue participation.

**Anyone who enrolls the first week will be entered into a drawing to win some exciting PRIZES!**

Time Entry – Holiday on Election Day

Election Day (Tuesday, November 3, 2020) was a new holiday.

Benefits-eligible employees please make sure the holiday time is entered correctly in the timesheet for this pay period (202024, 11/1 – 11/14). If you need a holiday time correction or have any questions related to time entry and/or payroll, please email payroll@augsburg.edu.
