Join us in Hoversten Chapel at 10:40 am to hear Pastor Jia Starr Brown, PhD student at Luther Seminary with her heart at the intersection of religion and education, preach as part of a series this week on Presence in Proclamation: A Series on Female-Identifying Leaders Who Participate in Proclamation. The idea is in part from Dr. Bantum’s symposium at Augsburg last fall when he talked about presence, saying that Mary gave the first Christian sermon and that God became present in such a way that we had to listen to her and acknowledge her, and that God wanted to learn how to be human and present from her. So, how does this show up in our world today?
