Lutheran Volunteer Corps – Tabling TODAY

Representatives from Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC) will be on campus today from 10:30-12:30 in the lobby of the Christensen Center. They are hiring soon to be grads for a number of positions

LVC places volunteers 21+ in full-time service positions at social-justice non-profits for a year. Volunteers explore living simply and sustainably in intentional community while serving the cause of peace with justice. LVC provides a foundational learning experience on racism, oppression, and privilege, how these intersect with social justice, and the role of spirituality in inspiring and sustaining leadership. Year-Volunteers live together in furnished, utilities paid housing. LVC’s positions change annually and may include: Education, Environment, Food Justice, Gender Equality, Health Care, Housing, Immigration/Refugees, Legal Aid, LGBTQ Equality, Supporting people with Disabilities, Youth Engagement, etc. LVC is on a Journey to an Inclusive Community and welcomes and encourages the participation of People of Color and people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
