The Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church, “Mindekirken”, at 924 E. 21st Street, Minneapolis, is looking for Building Attendants to work weekday evenings and Saturday mornings for our language classes, as well as on Sunday mornings during worship services.

• The work hours for classes are 5:30p-8:30p Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9:30a-12:30p on Saturdays. These shifts can be covered by one or more Building Attendants. There is a class break for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

• The work hours for Sundays are 8:30a-2:00p and can be a split shift between two Building Attendants.

The Building Attendant job’s primary function is to provide security and hospitality, which includes monitoring the entrances, greeting attendees, brewing coffee and maintaining the coffee break area, and opening and closing the facility. Additional tasks may include operating sound systems and assisting with connections to projectors and TV monitors.

The Building Attendant works with limited on-site supervision (once trained); is punctual and reliable. Ideal candidates have excellent communication and social skills, accurately follow instructions, and have strong problem-solving ability. The wage is $18/hour.

Mindekirken is a rather busy ELCA church with Norwegian cultural outreach. We share a city block with Norway House, not far from Augsburg University. You need not be Norwegian or Lutheran to apply. You are welcome.
