Organist Arjan Breukhoven from the Netherlands to perform at Augsburg

Masterclass on Organ Improvisation at 9:30 a.m.

Arjan Breukhoven will make four appearances in the Twin Cities, including two at Augsburg University, where he will present a masterclass in the morning and a recital in the evening.
Born in Rotterdam, he studied organ and church music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He performs internationally as a concert organist, touring the US and Germany this year; next year, he will tour Germany and Australia.
Breukhoven received the Médaille d’Argent (silver medal) in 2014 from the French Academic Society of Arts-Sciences-Lettres for his accomplishments in French organ music. Breukhoven was also awarded the Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2020 by the king of the Netherlands.
He also directs three large Dutch male choirs and the Australian Christian Men’s Choir in Perth, and is renowned for his many compositions for choir, organ, and other instruments.
