GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Perform daily general office and administrative duties needed to support the Department of PA Studies Administration.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Department Operations:

– Provides administrative support for both the academic and clinical phase of the PA program.
– Coordinates and manages multiple calendars & schedules.
– Supports logistical details for faculty and lecturers (i.e. parking, expense reimbursements, lecture materials)
– Performs logistics support, data entry, and electronic file organization
– Coordinates and executes numerous process and procedures under the required timelines.
– Supports faculty and staff with course and program related printing requests.
– Assists with email communications, answering phones, and general follow up correspondence.
– Maintains social media accounts and updates department website as needed.
– Maintain alumni database.

Academic & Clinical Phase Support:

– Performs data entry of student records, course information, grades, and clinical sites.
– Schedule guest lecturers, graders and simulated patients in conjunction with faculty oversight.
– Provides support to faculty and students (i.e. prepare and process exam support activities, enter quiz and grade data, coordinate Lecture visits, classroom and lab activities, etc).
– Manage the Academic & Clinical Phase calendars.
– Maintains various excel spreadsheets and Google Docs supporting both Academic and Clinical phases of the program (i.e. student rosters, advisor assignments, clinical sites, etc.).
– Maintains the Electronic Course book folders, generates reports as needed.
– Helps support the admissions and advising process in conjunction with faculty and staff.
– Provides administrative support on Moodle LMS and Examsoft software applications.

With the upgrade the product name “Agresso” will be retired from the software and will be instead branded “Unit4 ERP.” Unit4 is the company that owns the Agresso product.

After the upgrade the employee web Administrative Self service (paystubs, W2s) will have a modern look-and-feel. Documentation provided by HR and IT will be updated soon after.

Hello everyone, I apologized for the very late notice and my last official day was on July 13th, 2023. But I would like to take this time to thank the Augsburg University community for an incredible and wonderful experience. During my 1 year and 7 months here in the Academic Advising Office have been so great and welcoming. Public Safety is responsible for fostering and maintaining a safe learning and working environment for the Augsburg University Community. This environment is attained through proactive patrol of the campus buildings and ground and through positive interactions with the community we serve.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Creating and maintaining a safe learning and working environment for members of the Augsburg University Community.
– Identify after hours’ facilities issues and assist in the coordination of emergency maintenance response.
– Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance. Activate and coordinate Police, Fire, and EMS response as needed.
– Monitor campus activities and facilities through proactive patrol and observation.
– Provide required services to the Augsburg University Community. These services include walking or driving escorts, locking and unlocking of campus buildings according to class schedules and events, and providing information and assistance to the community as needed.
– Preparation of required incident reports completely and accurately for all security and safety related activities.
– Regular monitoring and use of critical infrastructure systems: CCTV systems, fire alarm panels, automation systems, alarms, access card systems, and parking enforcement systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

– Typical work environment is continually changing. To include working in both indoor spaces and outdoors for long periods of time in varying weather conditions.
– Sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time.
– Ability to use a computer and other office equipment.
– Ability to drive a motor vehicle in order to patrol campus grounds and provide escorts.
– Ability to communicate in person and over the phone.

We will be upgrading Agresso the weekend of July 28-30. Agresso powers Records and Registration, Human Resources, Finance and Payroll.

This means the following services will be offline Friday July 28 (after 5 PM) until Monday July 31:
Records and Registration (registration, class rosters, grades)
Agresso Web / Administrative Self Service (paystubs, W2s)
Agresso desktop (student record lookup, financial reporting, HR records)

With the upgrade the product name “Agresso” will be retired from the software and will be instead branded “Unit4 ERP.” Unit4 is the company that owns the Agresso product.

After the upgrade the employee web Administrative Self service (paystubs, W2s) will have a modern look-and-feel. Documentation provided by HR and IT will be updated soon after.

Last week, WCCO featured the traveling “We Are Water MN” exhibit that is currently on display in Oren Gateway Center lobby. This interactive exhibit is a collaboration between six state partners and is hosted at Augsburg by the Somali Museum of Minnesota. WCCO came to campus to hear about how water issues impact local communities by interviewing Osman Ali, founder and executive director of the Somali Museum of Minnesota, and Britt Gangeness, program administrator at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Both individuals shared their perspectives on how water connects people, communities, and countries across the world.

“We Are Water MN” will be on display until August 14—stop by OGC to check it out!

Brenna joined the Riverview Innovation Hub in June of 2023 as a RIH Congregational Facilitator. She will journey with congregations as they discern their vocational path to loving their neighbors as a vital partner in the community where God has called them. She will facilitate cohorts of church leaders, helping them build a network of support amongst each other to empower the work they are doing for the flourishing of humanity and the common good. Hello! Campus Kitchen needs some awesome volunteers to help pack produce boxes for our neighbors in Cedar Riverside.

We have shifts available every Thursday from 1:30-4:00pm.

The Details: Meet outside the Campus Cupboard (Anderson 26). You will ride in the Campus Kitchen van to the Sanneh Foundation Warehouse in St. Paul, where you will work in a team to prepare produce boxes/bags that will be distributed to neighbors in Cedar-Riverside the next day. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes.

URGO summer research student seeking participants for exercise study investigating
the effect of environmental temperature on fat and carbohydrate utilization in the body.
Research completed by Madison Horn, under the supervision of Dr. Tara Mader.
Participation will consist of 2 in-person meetings, the first of which is approximately
60-75 minutes in length, the second of which is approximately 30-45 minutes. At the first
meeting, you will undergo a YMCA step-test to measure cardiovascular endurance as
well as a BodPod measurement of body fat. Additionally, at each meeting you will be
asked to participate in a 20-minute HIIT exercise session and undergo three finger pricks
for blood samples. You will be compensated $25, in the form of a Target gift card, for
your time.
