Paid Sim Patient Opportunity (4/9)

submitted by olsenkat@augsburg.edu

The Augsburg PA program is seeking people who can become pregnant who are interested in being a genitourinary (GU) simulated patient/model for our Physician Assistant students. The model/patient will provide students with the opportunity to examine reproductive anatomy and learn to perform a thorough and patient-centered pelvic and speculum exam.

GU simulated patients need to have an intact uterus, cervix, and ovaries (no history of hysterectomy). Reimbursement is $65 per pelvic exam, with an average of 6-7 exams per session. The lab day will be 4/9/24 from 1-4.

Because this is a hands-on and sensitive topic, patients must be comfortable with a full pelvic and speculum exam. Prior exam experience is preferred. Any questions or concerns can be directed to paprog@augsburg.edu.

Help My Mom Afford to Live

submitted by escobarr@augsburg.edu

Hello everyone. Some of you here might already know about this, but my family at home is going through some struggle right now. My mom was injured and unable to work. The county has denied her unemployment and disability request due to the nature of her work. This means she won’t receive government benefits AND can’t receive income from her job.
All funds will go to paying her rent, providing for my two younger siblings at home(and 2 dogs) and to help her recover during this period where she is unable to work. Please share if you can’t donate to get the word out.
If you would like to help out in other ways, shoot me an email or text! 612-237-4334

She deserves so much, I am helping her as much as I can on top of being a full time student. Any financial would be more than appreciated, but if you can’t help even just spreading the word is more than enough. I know that many of you are in a tough spot yourself, do not make your situation worse. I appreciate all of you who took the time to read this. We keep each other safe.

Disabled Student Looking for Student PCA

submitted by dipaolaz@augsburg.edu

Hi, my name is zander I am a sophomore who is in a wheelchair and I am looking for 2 people who would help me with my needs from time to time I currently have two jobs open one where I would tell a person what day I need them to come and then they would give me a time on that day and that is the time they would come help me this job is the more unstable option as it is a backup job to my full-time PCA when they can’t come so I can’t commit to the amount that you would be working 20-minute time commitment per time that you are working. The second job is we would pick me each week and the person would come weekly this one is more stable as you will be doing a different job than my current PCA at any day or time they choose this one is a 40-minute time commitment if you are interested in hearing more about the job and more about what your responsibilities would be or if you want to interview for the job contact me at dipaolaz@augsburg.edu or (612)430-3233

One Bedroom Apartment for Rent in St. Anthony Park $890/month

Looking for a cool place to live? This apartment is in a turn of the century house that was made into a 4-plex in the 1930s. It’s a quiet building with hardwood floors, great southern exposure, and a nice backyard patio. Near the intersection of Como and Raymond in Saint Paul, it is less than a ten minute drive to Cedar-Riverside and less than a block from the #3 bus line. The neighborhood is super cute and bougie and there is a nice park across the street.

Norwegian Alumna Looking for Temporary Housing

submitted by engen@augsburg.edu

Hello! I am seeking lodging, possibly housesitting, in Minneapolis/St. Paul this summer. My name is Anne Elisabeth Ødmann, I live in Norway, and I was 21 when I received the Crown Prince Harald´s Scholarship to study at Augsburg College for the school year 1979-80. I mostly took Music and English classes. I liked it so much that I came back for spring semester of ´81 plus a summer class in ´82. I graduated in Norway later with a degree in Music and in Journalism and Television production. I am an editor in the Norwegian television business and recently I finished working on (the Norwegian edition of) “The Voice”. When I go back I am going to work on (the equivalent to) “Dancing with the Stars” and then “The Voice” again.

For years I have been wanting to come back to Minneapolis and visit, and this summer it is going to happen. I arrive June 15, and I will stay at a friend’s house for a while, but since he lives in New Brighton and buses stop running at 6 PM (!), I need a place much more centrally located, preferably by myself and preferably from June 25-26 through July 29-30, so five weeks.

Does anyone need a housesitter or know about an apartment/studio/room that I could rent? Or sublease someone´s home? Student accommodation that is vacant during the summer? I can pay up to $1000/month (or hopefully less…). And I need it furnished, with at least a bed and a functional kitchen.

My email address is: anne.odmann@gmail.com

Tel: +47 97 08 35 15

Thank you! Anne E. Ødmann
