Hate shopping but want a unique gift for the holidays? I am opening commissions for mini pet portraits.

My name is Rebecca and I work for the Minnesota Urban Debate League, but I’m also a painter. The Augsburg community was a great help for me to have some extra spending money last year.

I am painting acrylic on canvas in multiple small sizes for the following prices:

4″ x 4″: $40

4″ x 5″: $50

5″ x 5″: $70

5″ x 7″: $80

8″ x 10″: $120

I will ask you for a photo of the pet to copy and some colors you like, as well as the pets’ interests, to inform the background.

This provides a good sample of the type of portraits I do:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CWWrTFCL7DS/

As does this link: https://www.instagram.com/p/ClcZzAdriC3/

I can be paid by cash, Venmo, or PayPal and can drop off on Augsburg’s campus OR mail in the USA as needed.

If you are interested, please reach out ASAP so I can have reasonable lead time for creating these commissions by the holidays. Serious inquiries only. Please email me at froehlic@augsburg.edu if you are interested.

One Bedroom Apartment for Rent in St. Anthony Park $890/month

Looking for a cool place to live? This apartment is in a turn of the century house that was made into a 4-plex in the 1930s. It’s a quiet building with hardwood floors, great southern exposure, and a nice backyard patio. Near the intersection of Como and Raymond in Saint Paul, it is less than a ten minute drive to Cedar-Riverside and less than a block from the #3 bus line. The neighborhood is super cute and bougie and there is a nice park across the street.

Norwegian Alumna Looking for Temporary Housing

submitted by engen@augsburg.edu

Hello! I am seeking lodging, possibly housesitting, in Minneapolis/St. Paul this summer. My name is Anne Elisabeth Ødmann, I live in Norway, and I was 21 when I received the Crown Prince Harald´s Scholarship to study at Augsburg College for the school year 1979-80. I mostly took Music and English classes. I liked it so much that I came back for spring semester of ´81 plus a summer class in ´82. I graduated in Norway later with a degree in Music and in Journalism and Television production. I am an editor in the Norwegian television business and recently I finished working on (the Norwegian edition of) “The Voice”. When I go back I am going to work on (the equivalent to) “Dancing with the Stars” and then “The Voice” again.

For years I have been wanting to come back to Minneapolis and visit, and this summer it is going to happen. I arrive June 15, and I will stay at a friend’s house for a while, but since he lives in New Brighton and buses stop running at 6 PM (!), I need a place much more centrally located, preferably by myself and preferably from June 25-26 through July 29-30, so five weeks.

Does anyone need a housesitter or know about an apartment/studio/room that I could rent? Or sublease someone´s home? Student accommodation that is vacant during the summer? I can pay up to $1000/month (or hopefully less…). And I need it furnished, with at least a bed and a functional kitchen.

My email address is: anne.odmann@gmail.com

Tel: +47 97 08 35 15

Thank you! Anne E. Ødmann
