Faith & Doubt
Thursday, March 8th 6:30-8:30pm
This week we’re gathering for a meal and discussion about Doubt. A source of confusion or shame for some, and a route to liberation or valuable wrestling for others, we want to explore this part of the human experience. Is it good? Bad? Useful? Scary? Important?
What’s your relationship to faith and doubt? How do you navigate seasons where things that used to be clear for you, become more fuzzy and you have more questions than things about which you feel certain? Looking forward to the sharing of experiences and rich discussion.

On Tuesday March 6, 6:00pm in OGC 100, the Augsburg University Urban Studies Program will show the first of three films for our Spring Film Series: The amazing “Koyaanisqatsi” — a visual adventure with exceptional musical score. Food provided!
From the Rotten Tomatoes review: “Koyaanisqatsi is a Hopi word meaning “Life Out of Balance,” which is both the subtitle and the theme of this intriguing documentary. Godfrey Reggio has woven a hypnotic tapestry of time-lapse photography and Philip Glass’s trademark minimalist soundtrack, which drones the title every chance it gets. The viewer needs no voiceover to get the point: man is an animal spinning out of control and taking the planet with him. The film … is…an unforgettable cinematic experience.”

Learn about the connections between relationships, generations, and the intersections in which young adults live out their faith. Discover the commonalities between the diverse Christian faith communities we studied. The details were different, but the things that worked were remarkably similar.

Hi Auggies,
SIGN UP NOW FOR AUGSBURG’S DAY AT THE CAPITOL
WEDNEDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH
9:30 AM- 1:30PM
*lunch and transportation free*
Augsburg has an annual Day at the Capitol, which is a chance to meet with legislators, tour the newly renovated Capitol, and learn how to advocate for important causes! Augsburg students greatly benefit from the Minnesota State Grant, which is need-based financial aid that Minnesota students receive through their FAFSA. Over 1,000 students receive a State Grant, which is over 1/3 of students at Augsburg.
Legislators love meeting college students in person—like Senator Kari Dziedzic who will be speaking to your group at the Capitol—because they want to hear YOUR story, your journey to college, and want to keep helping all Auggies and MN college students. Your voice MATTERS.
Sign up here: https://www.mnprivatecolleges.org/day-capitol-registration and to get a better idea of what the day looks like, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_pKTOaMLFg
