To kick off the new academic year in person (fingers crossed), CTL is hosting the Back-to-School Workshops on Wednesday, August 25, and Thursday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Workshops and sessions will be held in Hagfors with the final schedule published in mid-August. These Back-to-School Workshops are open to and welcome all Augsburg faculty and staff.
The goal of these Back-to-School Workshops is to primarily focus on “just-in-time” topics that can be immediately put to use in your upcoming fall courses. If you have a concept or teaching strategy/tool that you would like to offer to others by offering a 1 or 1.5 hour workshop, please contact CTL (email@example.com) to schedule a workshop or session.
If you have any questions or need accommodations for this event, please contact CTL Director Jennifer L. Bankers-Fulbright at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Student employment and the student employment task force are hard at work on a new requisitioning and hiring process, which will be rolled out soon. We won’t be posting new fall positions until the new system is ready. We’ll send updates and details, along with FAQs, and opportunities for supervisor training in the coming days. Watch your email.
Fall student employment will begin on August 22, so the last day of summer student work will wrap up on August 21.
Please be sure to approve all timesheets before the Monday noon deadline next week. If you have questions about timesheets, payslips, or paychecks, please contact email@example.com

Thank you Auggie students, faculty, and staff for taking the time to fill out this four-question survey.
Together, the Pan-Afrikan Center, Environmental Action Committee, and SABO Center are working together to spread awareness and engagement to local Twin Cities Black owned businesses. We would like your opinion on your favorite black own restaurant near the Augsburg Community.

In the coming month Google is changing the links for some shared files in Google Drive. This change increases the security of the shared file links. Because the link is changing, if you have posted the link to an affected shared file somewhere (like on a department website) you’ll need to change the link so it can still be accessed.
Google will notify you if any of your files are affected. This notification may not arrive immediately but over the next few weeks.

As faculty and staff come back to campus, we wanted to make people aware of some steps to prevent the headache of being locked out of your account when you arrive. If you have not been on campus recently, please check out the following link before coming back to campus. As always, if you need further assistance, please reach out to your LFC.

A new semester is just around the corner, and luckily we are expecting new international students to join us this fall—representing countries like Malaysia, Nigeria, Italy, China, Norway, and Bangladesh to name a few!
Our office, the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), is looking for faculty and staff members who are interested in hosting our new international students for a dinner off-campus in your home.
Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday, August 25, 2021
Time: Pick up at 5 p.m. with a return to campus around 7 p.m.
We ask that our hosts pick up students from campus and return them once dinner is completed. The new incoming group will consist of 20+ international students.
COVID status: All the new international students coming from abroad are required to follow the CDC and MDH guidelines, with a required 7-day quarantine (unvaccinated students), and COVID testing on day 3-5 upon arrival.
All students will show proof of a negative COVID test prior to traveling to the United States (tested 72 hours before departure), proof of recovery and/or proof of vaccination.
Any students needing quarantine, will have ended this period on August 25. And will have been offered to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
