The Forum on Workplace Inclusion® is excited to announce the opening of the Call for Proposals for our 2022 program year (including our 34th annual conference) — Solving for X: Tackling Inequity in a World of Unknowns.
Addressing complex challenges can be daunting, especially when the foundations of our structures are shifting. As we look to a future of continuous and unforeseeable change, what must we do to tackle systemic inequities deeply embedded in our everyday environments and unharness inclusive, equitable, and sustainable ways of working?
We invite you to submit a proposal to be a part of the upcoming program year to help us all Solve for X.
The submission deadline is Monday, August 16, 2021 11:59 pm central.

The Human Resources team has been working behind the scenes to make some changes to our current website, and provide more of a self-service guide for our Augsburg employees and students! On this new website, employees and students can access resources, guides and forms that one might previously had emailed hr@augsburg.edu for.
What You Can Currently Find
Payroll Forms (Direct Deposit & Tax Forms)
Benefits Forms (HSA, 403B, FSA, Tuition Benefit Applications)
Address/Phone Number Changes
Employee & Faculty Handbooks
COVID-19 Vaccine Card Upload Site
Time Entry User Guides for Supervisors, Staff, Faculty & Students
These forms are all through Single Sign On which ensures security and privacy, as well as the option to send information through LeapFile; our Secure File Upload.
Soon to come to the website will be a video tutorial guide on the use of Handshake for Student Employment purposes to ensure all students are provided the resources to find on-campus employment.
This site is still evolving as we are continuously making changes for improvement and adding more resources to make it easily accessible to support you in finding what you need without taking an extra step!
The link is copied below for you to begin exploring and please remember to email
hr@augsburg.edu if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Your HR & Payroll Team

A new semester is just around the corner, and luckily we are expecting new international students to join us this fall—representing countries like Malaysia, Nigeria, Italy, China, Norway, and Bangladesh to name a few!
Our office, the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), is looking for faculty and staff members who are interested in hosting our new international students for a dinner off-campus in your home.
Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday, August 25, 2021
Time: Pick up at 5 p.m. with a return to campus around 7 p.m.
We ask that our hosts pick up students from campus and return them once dinner is completed. The new incoming group will consist of 20+ international students.
COVID status: All the new international students coming from abroad are required to follow the CDC and MDH guidelines, with a required 7-day quarantine (unvaccinated students), and COVID testing on day 3-5 upon arrival.
All students will show proof of a negative COVID test prior to traveling to the United States (tested 72 hours before departure), proof of recovery and/or proof of vaccination.
Any students needing quarantine, will have ended this period on August 25. And will have been offered to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
