Metropolitan Mechanical(MMC) completed the annual inspection of the steam vaults on campus and found a leak in two of our steam vaults. The repair of the vaults requires a campus-wide steam shut down today, Monday August 30th from 6AM – 3PM.
A list of buildings that are affected because of the steam shutdown follows. This ONLY affects the hot water side of kitchen sinks, vanities and showers; cold water will still work in those locations as well as for the toilets in all restrooms.

Mortensen Hall
Christensen Center
Finally, during the repair work, a crew member will be stationed on the 22nd Avenue sidewalk near Memorial Hall. The sidewalk is expected to still be usable during that time.
